in the tree意為“在樹(shù)上”，多指外界的事物或人在樹(shù)上，而非樹(shù)木自身生長(zhǎng)，如鳥(niǎo)、人等；而on the tree則多指樹(shù)自身所有，長(zhǎng)在樹(shù)上的東西，如花、果實(shí)等。
