如：Green with envy 十分嫉妒。
綠色還可以用來表示沒有經(jīng)驗、缺乏訓(xùn)練、知識淺薄。
如：as green as grass 毫無經(jīng)驗。
yellow 黃色
黃色在英語和漢語中的引申含義判別較大。漢語中“黃色”一詞有時象征低級趣味、色情庸俗的意思，如黃色電影、黃色書刊等。這些名稱中的“黃”與英語中的“yellow”無關(guān)。
在英語中，yellow可以是“膽小、卑怯、卑鄙”的意思。
