【辨析】across和through
across和through都可表示“從（一定范圍的）一邊到另一邊”，其區(qū)別在于across表示某一范圍的表面進行某一動作。through表示在某一范圍的內(nèi)部空間進行某一動作。
e.g.:
Be careful when you go across the street.
It took us two hours to walk through the forest.
7. She found herself alone in a long, low hall.
find oneself... “發(fā)覺自己”
他醒來發(fā)現(xiàn)自己在醫(yī)院里。
He woke up and found himself in the hospital.
alone “獨自的”，相當于“by oneself, on one's own”。
他自己完成了這項工作。
He finished the work alone.
