Language points
1.Jenny and I arrived by plane the day before yesterday.
arrive 到達(dá)，是不及物動(dòng)詞，后須加上in/at 才能接表示地點(diǎn)的名詞。表示到達(dá)大城市或國家時(shí)要用arrive in,而到達(dá)鄉(xiāng)村，車站等小地方則要用arrive at.如：
We arrived in London last week.
我們上周到達(dá)倫敦。
The doctor arrived at the village at last.
醫(yī)生終于到達(dá)了那個(gè)村子。
We arrived at the station five minutes late.
我們到車站晚了5分鐘。
They will arrive in Pairs next Monday.
他們將于下周星期一到達(dá)巴黎。

get 是不及物動(dòng)詞，常和to連用。但當(dāng)“到達(dá)”的地點(diǎn)是副詞（home,here,there)時(shí),to需要省略。如：

I get home at 7:00 pm every day.
我每天晚上七點(diǎn)到家。
When we got to the park,it began to rain.
我們到達(dá)公園時(shí)，就開始下雨了。
在談到火車、汽車等或乘客等到站時(shí)，通常用get in.如：
The bus gets in at five thirty.
汽車五點(diǎn)半到站。
arrive 和get 之后均可接here,there,home之類的表地點(diǎn)的副詞作狀語。如：

We got/arrived here last night.

如果不指明到達(dá)的地點(diǎn)要用arrive.如：
