可數(shù)名詞vs不可數(shù)名詞
可數(shù)名詞不能單獨(dú)使用,要么前面加冠詞(定冠詞或a/an)或者是sb's等某些限定成分。要么就是變復(fù)數(shù)。后面的謂語動(dòng)詞要根據(jù)前面名詞的單復(fù)數(shù),謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。
可數(shù)名詞是指能以數(shù)日來計(jì)算,可以分成個(gè)體的人或東西;因此它有復(fù)數(shù)形式,
不可數(shù)名詞是不能以數(shù)目來計(jì)算,不可以分成個(gè)體的概念、狀態(tài)、品質(zhì)、感情或表示物質(zhì)材料的東西;它一般沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式,只有單數(shù)形式,它的前面不能用不定冠詞a/an,若要表示它的個(gè)體意義時(shí),必須與一個(gè)名詞短語連用,相當(dāng)于中文里的(-+(量詞)+名詞),其中的量詞意義依與具體的名詞搭配而定。例如:
a cup of tea 一杯荼,a piece of bread 一片面包。
如何區(qū)分他們呢?還有一個(gè)技巧就是:在自然界中如果把一個(gè)東西分成幾份后仍保持原來的性質(zhì)和狀態(tài),那么這個(gè)東西就是不可數(shù)名詞。例如;把一張紙分成四份后,其中的一份可稱之為”紙“,但把一張桌子分成四份后,每一份只可稱之為”木頭“。
那么紙(paper)就是不可數(shù)名詞,而書桌(desk)則是可數(shù)名詞。把一瓶水分成十份,其中一份還稱為“水”(water)是不可數(shù)名詞,而瓶子(bottle)則是可數(shù)名詞。

Help yourselves!請隨便吃/喝!
該句為主人招待者是一個(gè)人,用help yourself;若是兩個(gè)人或兩人以上,用help yourselves.另外,help yourself to ...意為“請隨便吃/喝些....".
eg:Help yourself to some bread and eggs.
What about.....?表示“....怎么樣?“用來詢問情況或提出建議;也可以用How about....?來表達(dá)。
