1.基數(shù)詞的讀法
(1).從1-10 one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight,nine,ten.
(2).從11-19 eleven,twelve,thirteen,fourteen,fifteen,sixteen,seventeen,eighteen,nineteen.
這里除eleven,twelve,thirteen,fifteen,eighteen為特殊形式外，fourteen,sixteen,seventeen,nineteen都是由其個位數(shù)形式后添加后綴-teen構(gòu)成
(3）.從21-99整數(shù)幾十中除twenty,thirty,forty,fifty,eighty 為特殊形式外，sixty,seventy,ninety都是其個位數(shù)形式后添加后綴-ty構(gòu)成。表示幾十幾時，在幾十和個位基數(shù)詞形式之間添加連字符“-”

(4)百位數(shù) 個數(shù)基數(shù)詞形式加“hundred”，表示幾百，在幾十幾與百位間加上and。

1,000 = one thousand 一千
10,000 = ten thousand 一萬
100,00 = one hundred thousand 十萬

關(guān)于四位數(shù)年份的讀法有下列幾種情形：
1）一般情況下，將表示年份的四個數(shù)字按前后分為兩組，每一組的數(shù)字都按基數(shù)詞來讀。例如：
 1865年讀作eighteen sixty-five
 1998年讀作nineteen ninety-eight
2)如果前兩個數(shù)字為非“零”數(shù)字，后兩位分別為“零”，則先讀出前兩位數(shù)，然后將后面的兩個“零”讀為hundred。例如：
 1900年讀作nineteen hundred
 1800年讀作eighteen hundred
3）第三個數(shù)字為“零”（其他數(shù)字不是“零”）的年份的讀法應(yīng)當(dāng)將該“零”讀作O。例如：
  1809年讀作eighteen O nine
4)關(guān)于千年的一些讀法
 2000年讀作two thousand
 2008年讀作two thousand and eight(或 twenty O eight)
 1008年讀作one thousand and eight (或ten O eight)
