此句中when a deep blue sky……kept me spellbound為定語(yǔ)從句,修飾先行詞a time,意為“曾經(jīng)一度；有時(shí)候”。

2.I stayed awake on purpose until half past eleven one evening in order to have a good look at the moon for once by myself.

1）stay是系動(dòng)詞（link-v）,后接形容詞或名詞。

too much(1)可作狀語(yǔ),修飾不及物動(dòng)詞

2）dare的用法:
實(shí)義動(dòng)詞 & 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞
(1)實(shí)義動(dòng)詞,與一般動(dòng)詞一樣通過加not構(gòu)成否定式,后接to do.
If you dare speak to me like that,you'll be sorry.
The child doesn't dare(to) make a sound.
He won't dare to break his promise.
(2)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞,后接動(dòng)詞原形do,過去時(shí)是dared,否定式是dare/dared not+do,常用于否定句、疑問句和條件狀語(yǔ)從句中。
He dared not tell his parents the result of the exam.
I daren't tell her the news.

4.Another time five months ago,I happened to be upstairs at dusk when the window was open.

5.I didn't go downstairs until the window had to be shut.
until  prep.& conj.“直到……為止”
肯定句中用延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞；
否定句為not…until…結(jié)構(gòu),用短暫性動(dòng)詞
not until引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句位于句首時(shí),主句要用部分倒裝。
（助動(dòng)詞did/do/does提到主語(yǔ)前面,后用動(dòng)詞原形）
